London, UK, 8th December 2016 – Toshiba UK is pleased to announce the launch of Toshiba Transform, a new consultancy service designed to help schools maximise their existing IT capabilities. Toshiba Transform ensures schools can best utilise the IT software and hardware already available to them, without having to invest significant time, money or resource. The bespoke service, which is open to any school regardless of its size or current IT hardware provider, also has a focus on helping schools transition towards Microsoft’s free or low-cost Office 365 education suite, which is regularly under-employed in schools today.
Through the service, Toshiba will provide experts to work alongside participating schools’ IT departments, ensuring the optimum technical set up is achieved both within the classroom and in the back office. This includes configuring Office 365 to the school’s specific requirements, creating a tailored IT set up to ensure technology is being utilised to its full potential.
The Toshiba Transform team will also demonstrate the software tools that best support teaching and learning for the least amount of investment; helping teachers to create highly engaging content and lesson plans in minimal time, while taking away administrative tasks and allowing teaching staff to focus on what really matters. Staff can enjoy the benefits of tools such as SharePoint and SSO for increased process efficiencies, and the ability to securely access vital information on almost any device, at a time and location that is convenient to them.

Toshiba Transform is the first Toshiba education service to stand alone from its wider products and solutions (under a separate sub-brand), and continues Toshiba’s drive to help schools make the best use of precious time, budget and energy. This builds on the success of the company’s Self Maintainer Scheme, which allows students to take control of their school’s IT repairs and become involved in the day-to-day maintenance of the devices.
Bishop Challoner Catholic College has already embraced the benefits of the Self Maintainer Scheme and is also one of the first to take advantage of the Toshiba Transform service.
