For student researchers, the laboratory offers a number of sponsorship opportunities and industrial supervision of the highest calibre to include a 3 month placement in the laboratory. It has a track record of funding and co-supervising over 90 studentships at leading UK and European Universities such as Bristol, Bath, Oxford, Imperial, Cardiff, UCL, Royal Holloway, Athens and Edinburgh.
A unique and challenging opportunity for a Technical Project Manager for a government funded technical project to develop a world leading industrial IoT research testbed. Working in collaboration with South Gloucestershire Council and Toshiba Research Europe Limited who is the lead technology partner, managing rolling out a communications and IoT systems for world leading R&D testbed across tech arc in South Gloucestershire. The project will not only develop the infrastructure but also develop a minimum of 5 test use cases covering range of business domains. Project implementation will last for 2 years but we have plans to maintain the testbed operational 5–10 years and to replicate parts of the solution in other regions in the UK and around the world.
Ideal candidate will be an experienced telecoms or IoT solutions project manager with a strong technical background who has delivered smart city, Industrial IoT or similar projects. We are seeking someone with 5–10 years of experience and can lead a wide range of technical projects coming from different business domains and track record of delivering successful projects.
