Wavelength customisable QKD deployment

Quantum computing is threatening to render public key encryption techniques insecure, with data in transit particularly vulnerable to attack. QKD (Quantum Key Distribution) provides the answer, enabling quantum-safe cryptography across fibre networks.

The specific fibre requirements for QKD deployment can be challenging for many organisations to navigate, particularly in cases where it's necessary to integrate with existing fibre architectures and multiplexing schemes.

The LE system overcomes this challenge by allowing users to deploy the quantum information along a single dedicated fibre, and to multiplex the QKD service channels into existing fibre architectures alongside classical data services. It is also possible to pre-select the QKD service channel wavelengths.

This customisable set-up offers increased flexibility and cost optimisation.

The Toshiba LE system makes quantum security work around you.

Quantum Key Distribution and Blockchain (PDF, 1 MB)

The power of quantum computing technology can challenge the security of any system reliant on certain mathematical algorithms, meaning it could undermine the security that blockchain promises. Quantum Key Distribution is the answer. This paper will explore the evolution of QKD, its future, and a real-world application research study with Toshiba, JPMorgan Chase and Ciena.
