New research from Toshiba Europe and Quantum Bridge Technologies, demonstrates a new network architecture for global-scale information-theoretic secure communication, combining Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) and DSKE (Distributed Symmetric Key Establishment).
Quantum-safe metro networks in Cambridge and Toronto were successfully connected, showing how organisations can achieve long-distance secure communications with technologies that are commercially available today.
This marks a significant step towards creating a quantum safe future for all.
