Toshiba QSN Transceiver 1550/1310
Single chassis solution for efficient quantum-safe networking
Quantum-safe networking needs to scale beyond individual point-to-point links without adding unnecessary complexity. Toshiba QSN Transceiver combines a Quantum Transmitter (QTx) and Quantum Receiver (QRx) in a single chassis, with an optional integrated Key Delivery System (KDS).
Deploy flexibly as the network evolves
Available in 1550 nm and 1310 nm variants, the QSN Transceiver can be deployed in a variety of ways including dual quantum transmission, as a single chassis trusted node, long haul and metro networks. This gives operators the optionality to deploy where the need is greatest today and adapt as their network architectures and requirements evolve.
Combine crypto-agility with high performance
With the integrated KDS, QKD can be combined with Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) to support a crypto-agile, defence-in-depth approach. Extended reach and a 30 dB optical loss budget also help reduce the number of systems and trusted nodes required for long-distance deployments to improve the economics of quantum-safe networks.
Highlights
Features & Benefits
Efficient quantum-safe networking
QTx and QRx are combined within a single chassis, for efficient, cost effective quantum-safe networking. An optional integrated key delivery system provides resilient key distribution and crypto-agility.
Deployment flexibility
Available as 1550 nm C-band variant for long-haul transmission and 1310 nm O-band variant for high capacity coexistence capability.
Crypto-agility built in
Via the optional integrated Key Delivery System, hybrid QKD and PQC key delivery can be provided for a layered, defence-in-depth approach.
Extended reach, improved economics
A 30 dB optical loss budget and reach of up to 150 km with the 1550 nm variant reduce the number of hardware systems and trusted nodes needed for long-distance deployments. When the 1310 nm variant is deployed with the QSN Multiplexer, QKD can also coexist with classical data services over existing lit fibre.
