Toshiba QSN Link 1550/1310
Dedicated site-to-site quantum-safe networking
Some of the most critical data paths require dedicated protection between two locations. Toshiba QSN Link provides high-performance point-to-point QKD for quantum-safe key distribution between sites, while serving as the foundation for more advanced network architectures.
Full platform performance
QSN Link leverages the capabilities of the QSN Platform, comprising independent Quantum Transmitter (QTx) and Quantum Receiver (QRx) units, with any QTx to any QRx capability (wavelength dependent) simplifying maintenance and allowing either unit to be replaced independently when required. Available in 1550 nm and 1310 nm variants, with a 30 dB optical loss budget.
Dedicated connection with a route to evolve
Crucially, investment in a dedicated link does not have to remain isolated. QTx and QRx units can be reused as networks evolve into trusted-node relay architectures, providing a practical starting point for organisations that want to protect priority connections today and expand quantum-safe networking as their needs change.
Highlights
Features & Benefits
Protect critical connections directly
Dedicated point-to-point connectivity provides QKD between two sites, making QSN Link suited to critical data paths such as data centre interconnects, government networks and critical infrastructure.
Simplify servicing and maintenance
Independent QTx and QRx units can be maintained and replaced separately, avoiding the need to replace a complete paired system if one unit is affected. This simplifies sparing, servicing and ongoing network maintenance.
Extend high-performance quantum-safe networking further
A 30 dB optical loss budget provides up to 150 km reach with the 1550 nm variant and up to 90 km reach with the 1310 nm variant.
Start point-to-point. Expand when needed
QSN Link provides a dedicated starting point for quantum-safe networking without limiting future network design. QTx and QRx units can be reused within platform deployments as requirements evolve, helping protect investment and support a phased transition from individual links to larger QSN deployments.
