Quantum-safe technologies are becoming part of real-world networks. 🔒

We’re proud to have partnered with Quantum Corridor and Ciena to successfully complete the world’s first trial of 1.6 Tb/s quantum-safe networking on a live commercial network.

The trial brought together post-quantum cryptography (PQC) and quantum key distribution (QKD), demonstrating how these complementary technologies can work together in high-speed optical networks to help protect sensitive data in the quantum era.

The trial was conducted over Quantum Corridor’s live production network, demonstrating that quantum-safe security can be integrated into high-capacity networks while continuing to meet growing bandwidth demands.

By demonstrating the use of both PQC and QKD, this milestone gives network operators greater flexibility in how they prepare for the threat of quantum attacks – providing a practical path towards quantum-safe communications without requiring the replacement of existing network infrastructure.
