💊 A new milestone for computational drug discovery: AOI Biosciences and Toshiba Corporation have been granted a Japanese patent for a jointly developed technology that predicts allosteric sites in proteins using Toshiba’s quantum-inspired optimisation solution, “SQBM+™”.

The technology is designed to support drug discovery for proteins that can be difficult to target through conventional approaches. In validation studies, it identified known allosteric sites with more than 80% accuracy.

The patented technology is expected to streamline the search for promising allosteric sites and enable new drug-discovery approaches for targets previously considered undruggable.

🔐 Are your telecom networks quantum-secure?

As networks become more critical, protecting the data that moves across them has never been more important.

Toshiba is helping accelerate the shift towards quantum-secure communications through the development of secure communication hubs that enable organisations to build resilient networks protected by Quantum Key Distribution (QKD).

These hubs are designed to support telecom operators, businesses and critical infrastructure providers as they prepare for a future where traditional encryption methods face new challenges from quantum computing.

By integrating quantum security into existing network infrastructure, organisations can strengthen protection for sensitive data and build communications networks ready for the next generation of cyber threats.

The quantum era is coming. The networks that support it need to be ready.
